FROM LITTLE THINGS BIG THINGS GROW
With the return of the Labor Party post the Federal election result over the weekend & the continued reign of Kate Thwaites MP for the local seat of Jaga Jaga it is an exciting time for the North Heidelberg Sporting Club.
For those who have been following us on NHSC social media Kate announced at the club recently a pledge to commit funds projected at $3,000,000 for a major capital upgrade of the pavilion at Shelley Park, Heidelberg Heights should the Albanese Government win office.
Well we are aware of the result & that pledge is on the table for future discussion & when the dust settles we will get down to business & work towards a plan with further lobbying & discussion with other interest groups for this exciting venture to come to fruition.
For ourselves & co. tenant the Diamond Valley Superules Football Club the Business Development Plan has a definite focus on multi-use for the benefit of both community & sporting clubs.
The project will assist with our plans to modernise the pavilion which is essential if we are to maintain our status as a leading sports club within the area. Both clubs see this as a major step to building stronger ties with local community groups & future growth of sports participation in future years.
We will keep our members & those who frequent our social media engagement with updates on planning & development as news comes to hand.
Let it begin.
Ground & Car Park Lighting Update
All is on track for capital works with the upgrading of ground & car park lighting which we have on good authority from Banyule Council is scheduled to be completed around October/November this year.
The ground lights will meet the required standards eligible for night football which is a real option for consideration from season 2023.
