Hope you all have had a great week.
LAST WEEK
Seniors had a rousing win over Greensborough & certainly a few more smiles after the game. I think the President might have been one of them for a minute or 2 & with two on the trot we head to Hurstbridge for another challenge.
It’s one week at a time, a standard line we know but after being 1-5 it is, what it is & we need to play at our best against the Bridgers. If we do that & with results going our way we are within a sniff of the top 5. I don’t know what is more incentive than that.
Development had victory in their sights only to fall at the last hurdle but there has been steady improvement & a win for Joel & the team is not far away. A bit more depth with some senior heads is making the difference for what is in the majority a young squad who are getting better by the week.
U19s had a terrific win up at Diamond Creek to notch up another Div 1 win & with a few out it was a challenge but they came home with the points. There is some real talent in this side & we look forward to taking on some of the more formidable teams for the remainder of the year.
The vagaries of the draw sees the U19s have the next two weekends off with their next game Saturday June 18.
PAST PLAYERS & OFFICIALS DAY
Another great success with plenty of former players & officials in attendance with terrific representation from the 1962 Seniors & U17s premiership teams.
The past players have played a big part in the resurgence of the NHSC & hats off to Kevin Elms Jnr, Ron (Bluey) Britton & Glen (Splinter) Nolan for your work behind the scenes.

By my calculations that’s 6 wins of 7 which is a great effort considering many of the teams are playing opposition clubs 1 or 2 teams which complements the terrific depth we have in the club.

JUNIOR FOOTBALL
All junior teams are well into their respective seasons & for Doggies fans there is the opportunity of a Sunday to see our junior affiliated clubs in action – Bundoora Park, West Ivanhoe & Yarrambat JFCs.
Keep an eye on upcoming fixtures & results for all three clubs during the year.

Pre-Game Luncheon with guest speaker Neil Balme former Richmond player & AFL Coach with Melbourne.
Neil then transitioned to a successful career as General Manager Football where he played a major role in the premiership success at Geelong, Collingwood & currently at Richmond.
